We met at Meig’s point and thought the nearly empty beaches and jetty would be a good backdrop for her senior portraits, and a portrait with her lovely sister. Meet baby Weston! Yesterday marked 6 weeks for him. He surprised mom and dad by coming a little earlier than expected, so he’s still a tiny little guy but, he’s really packing on the pounds now(or should I say ounces!) He couldn’t keep his eyes off his beautiful mama, loved to snuggle, and also happy just hanging out on the boppy. He’s a peanut, but he’s a strong little mister, and as expected he’s been kicking and stretching those little limbs far too long to be curled or wrapped up for a photo. “No thank you,” he said!
Thanks Chelsea and Joe for bringing your sweet baby over so I could meet him and for having me do his first photo session! Enjoy your little bundle of joy!

By the seashore, Oceanside, Majestic Sea
Last weekend I was down at Hammonasset Beach State Park with my family. The first afternoon we were there it was a little stormy, and not exactly the kind of weather that draws you to the beach. Usually it’s the bright sunny days that scream sun, sand and surf. In our excitement to be away on vacation for a few days my daughter and I decided to go anyway. No matter the weather there’s something about the wide open sea that is calming and rejuvenating. I’m so glad we went, because it was a complete contrast to the next few days. We practically had the beach to ourselves. Cloud covered sky, calm sedentary ocean, with a sailboat off inthe distance. Not the kind you’d find down at the local marina. This was a ship, set on the horizon. If we hadn’t gone that evening, we would’ve missed this scene.
